Should I Move to Another Country?
I’m often asked two questions about moving to another country: how to do it and whether to do it. The show is complicated by the country moving to and their laws around immigration. As to whether you should move to another country, there are three possible answers.
Don’t move and stay where you are. You will spend the rest of your life wondering, what if? What would it have been like if you had moved? It turns into regret, and life is full of regrets, so why add another to the list?
You move and realize you don’t like it. You spend a year or so in the new location and then move back to where you were. At least this way, you know the answer to “what if.” Plus, you will have the experience and can tell a few good stories about it.
You move and love it. You decide to stay where you have relocated and enjoy living there, the experiences, and your new friends. Again, you answered question one.
What's my advice? I think it’s pretty clear: move and see what happens.
